Heaven shows high-res pictures form an observatory in Europe,
photographed by their publicly accessible netcam in realtime during a year.
The pictures show 55 times the same fisheye-view of the sky
and the landscape at different times of the day/night.

BIG PICTURES
The BIG PICTURES are composed of many to very many single images.
Each large image gets its own structure and colorfulness through the verical or horizontal arrangement of the small images.
With the resulting ambivalence between single image and the big picture, I try to develop a new kind of photography.The work also deals with topics such as collecting information, big data, pattern recognition, algorithm as well as privacy, surveillance, globalisation, the role of photography etc.
Has the "punctum" of photography history turned into an algorithm today? Or in other words: can relevance in photography be established by means of the data processing industry?
All pictures are taken from publicly accessible netcams and were photographed by me during the last 19 years via the web. About 5 million images are currently in my archive - and the number is increasing daily.
